Greetings PACE Members!
I am honored to serve as the new Chair of the PACE Board of Directors. I have been an active member of PACE for 17 years and I am very excited about the opportunity to work with our new CEO, Stuart Discount, our talented PACE staff, our Board of Directors, Chapter Presidents, Chapter Boards and of course, our amazing and committed members.
The PACE Board of Directors represents a diverse group of volunteers who are committed to the mission of PACE as the only association dedicated to the contact center. Members of the Board represent an array of businesses from large corporate brands, to fast growth entrepreneurial companies, as well as suppliers and consultants who are all laser focused on the advancement of contact center service delivery, as well as advocacy, to ensure compliant and quality customer engagement. In addition to the rigor of their leadership roles in their own companies, these volunteers work year-round to support PACE members across a variety of initiatives and committees. I want to give you a little peek of what happens behind the scenes with PACE Board of Director Committees.
Perhaps you are familiar with our Government Affairs Committee. This Board led group includes numerous councils and has active participation from several PACE members. There is a tremendous amount of activity on this committee, including collaboration on PACE positions on various regulatory initiatives, organizing the delivery of compliance education for our members, and coordinating advocacy outreach to federal and state regulators and elected officials. The very important PACE-PAC also falls under this committee.
Another regulatory focused committee is the Compliance Officers Forum which is also a Board led group that includes many PACE members. This peer group of compliance professionals provides a means for companies to share best practices and discuss current affairs.
The Convention Committee is also a very active group that works year-round to provide strategic assistance to the PACE staff with the design and organization of the Annual Convention and Expo. This committee is already actively working on the 2018 Convention to be held at the beautiful Chateau Elan Winery & Resort in Braselton, Georgia.
The Chapter Committee is a vital part of PACE’s service delivery. With 7 regional chapters around the country and a group of dedicated volunteers that serve on individual Chapter Boards, PACE delivers numerous local events each year that allow PACE members to experience their membership value locally.
Another vital committee is the Membership Committee. This group of Directors focuses on member value delivery and ways to expand membership to new industry segments, as well as different roles within a member organization, all while adapting to the needs of the market place.
Assisting all of the above committees is the Marketing Committee. This group helps to define our messaging and works with PACE staff to ensure that we are reaching the right audience and sharing the value of PACE in a meaningful way.
There is much work to still be done and many areas for PACE members to get involved. We built this organization for the benefit of our members and I am honored to be able to harness the vast wisdom of the PACE Board of Directors, Chapter Presidents and Chapter Boards to continue to expand our mission to serve you.
Thank you for your support.
