Greetings PACE Members! I hope that everyone enjoyed some well-deserved time off for the Thanksgiving holiday. As the Chair of the PACE Board of Directors, I am very thankful to be associated with such a committed and hardworking volunteer network and staff. It’s really hard to believe that 2017 is almost over already and soon we will be kicking off another exciting year that hopefully, represents new beginnings and opportunities for all of our members. Along the lines of new beginnings, the 2018 Convention Committee has been very busy preparing for the PACE Annual Convention and Expo which takes place April 15-18 at the beautiful Chateau Elan Winery & Resort in Braselton, Georgia, which just outside of Atlanta. Over the next few months, you will hear a lot about this “can’t miss” event. Behind the scenes we have a committee comprised of National and Chapter Board members who come together to collaborate on creating an outstanding convention experience. We have several new committee members this year and their diverse perspectives will leave us even better poised for success. Our mission is to bring attendees the best education and networking available for contact center professionals. We are actively evaluating speakers and topics as well as formats and social functions. In addition to our highly anticipated golf and tennis tournaments and the runners network, there is rumor that we there may even be some wine tasting involved this year! In our upcoming marketing for convention you will see references to ACX18. This is part of our branding for our signature event and it stands for Annual Convention & Expo. ACX18 will represent hot tips from leading experts in our industry as well as demonstrations on the disruptive technology shaping our service delivery, and as always, the best networking events to be found. The theme for the 2018 Convention is Exceeding the Expectations of the Connected Customer. We will offer many tracks for educational content, but all will be related to this theme as we identify the evolution of not only the customer experience, but the elevation of the customer expectation, as mobile, social, and AI shape the future of engagement. The Call for Speakers application is now available on the PACE website. Just click here to access. I highly encourage anyone who is interested in presenting their subject matter expertise to submit an application before the January 12, 2018 deadline. Thankful for your membership…. Lori Fentem PACE, Chair of the Board of Directors
